Jad’s work focuses on aligning the BrainGate platform’s technical capabilities with our team’s research questions and clinical trial session requirements. His recent work includes integrating robotic arms into the BrainGate platform, designing tasks aimed at functional control of these arms, and analyzing neural activity associated with movement planning,

Jad received his BASc in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of British Columbia. He interned at a web start-up before returning to school, receiving an MSc in Neural and Behavioural Sciences from the University of Tübingen, where his research on brain-computer interfaces began.
