Ruixiang Li

Graduate Student

Brown University

Ruixiang is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Brown University, under the supervision of Dr. Leigh Hochberg. His research centers upon using concepts and theorems from differential geometry, topology, and dynamical systems to study neural activities that correspond to movements under different geometric contexts in order to build more robust and generalizable BCI decoders.

Ruixiang graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2023 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, and a B.A. in Mathematics. His undergraduate research focused on whether event-related potentials could inform cognitive components of neural signals that belie indistinguishable behavioral correlates.
