Sarah Heilbronner is currently an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Harvard University and her PhD in Neurobiology from Duke University, where she worked with Dr. Michael Platt. She then moved to the University of Rochester to learn neuroanatomy from Dr. Suzanne Haber. She opened her own lab at the University of Minnesota in late 2017. Her lab at Baylor focuses on constructing the wiring diagram of primate brains. She also collaborates with her clinical colleagues to modulate neuronal connections to treat brain disorders.
