Arnav Bhalla
Undergraduate Researcher, Department of Bioengineering
Rice University
Arnav is an undergraduate Bioengineering student at Rice University and previously attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST). His research interests center on brain-computer interfaces, neural signal decoding, and shared autonomy systems for assistive neurotechnology. Arnav is particularly interested in translating BCI research into clinically deployable systems for patients with paralysis and motor impairment. He plans to pursue an MD or a combined MD and PhD and a career as a physician-engineer, developing and clinically validating neural interface technologies that restore function and independence.
