Clay graduated from The Ohio State University in 2023 with a BA in Computer and Information Science, where he studied natural language processing and planning in multimodal deep learning agents. He joined the Systems Neural Engineering Lab at Emory in July 2023, where he developed and maintained the Emory site’s BG2 codebase and studied spinal neural population dynamics in mice.
