Guy received his BA degrees in Mathematics and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018. Guy is currently a neuroscience PhD student at Stanford University. His academic advisors are Professor Shaul Druckmann in the department of neurobiology and Professor Krishna Shenoy of the Stanford Neural Prosthetics Translational Laboratory (NPTL). He joined the BrainGate team in 2019, where his work focuses on characterizing neural population activity during speech in human motor cortex, developing speech decoder systems, and dynamical systems modeling.
