Maryam is a SOCRA-certified clinical research professional (CCRP) with extensive clinical trial experience in drug development and device trials. Previously, Ms. Masood has worked as a coordinator and in management positions for investigator-initiated clinical trials in therapeutic areas such as oncology, fertility, chiropractic care, and rheumatology, where she also had several publications. As the BrainGate Manager, Maryam is involved with site set-up, oversight, and management of the BrainGate consortium sites. She also manages regulatory submissions to the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), local and central Research Ethics Boards (REBs), and granting agencies. Maryam received both her M.Sc. Degree in Molecular Biology (2013) and Honors B.Sc. with Distinction (2010) in Behaviour, Genetics, and Neurobiology from the University of Toronto.
