Mattia Rigotti

Graduate Student

Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology

Mattia is a Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. student at the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Emory University and Georgia Tech. His research interests include studying neural dynamics under unexpected inputs and developing high-performance brain-computer interfaces robust to external perturbations during movement.

Mattia graduated as an Electrical Engineer in 2018 from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 2016 and a MSc in Engineering in 2018. During his Master’s thesis and the years that followed, he worked in several projects in Chile developing control strategies and hardware for robotics. Additionally, he worked on implementing control algorithms for commercial FES devices for gait rehabilitation.
