Ryan Wang

Graduate Student

Stanford University

Ryan Wang is pursuing a Ph.D. in bioengineering at Stanford’s Schools of Engineering and Medicine, advised by Frank Willett and Jaimie Henderson. Ryan’s research focuses on developing brain-computer interfaces for communication that target higher-order language processing areas beyond the motor cortex. He is supported by the Knight-Hennessy scholarship and the NDSEG fellowship.

Ryan graduated from Rice University with majors in neuroscience, computer science, and cognitive science. At Rice, he developed technologies for the noninvasive treatment, study, and diagnosis of brain disease. He also designed neural decoders for brain-computer interfaces at the University of Washington.
